Kiev - shashliki or shashliki

kiev is beautiful. it's the most green of all european capitals. The city has changed a bit since i last lived here but the sites and people and most importantly - their liberal approach to buying and drinking beer on the streets has not! That's why me - a little Polish girl got very tipsy by the end of the day and started singing and moving about strangly in the metro (which is also worth mentioning - very efficient and nothing like our Polish little baby metro -'system'). We took a looooong walk around the city today and mostly toured around the place where i used to live. Andryevski uzwis was busy as always. We went into the Bulhakov museum. i deeply recommend it to everyone who's in the neighbourhood. Bulhakov was born and raised in Kiev and actually graduated in medicine (!) Each room of the museum was lit in a different colour and it was all creatively organized. We even had to pass through a closet to get to a different room! like in 'Alice in wonderland'. I pretended i understood everything the ukrainian literature tour guide was saying but all the little surprises put a big smile on my face and i knew she felt my appreciation for the whole establishment. We went by our house (where we lived) and the chernobyl museum and ended up in the left bank of the wide and beautiful and not! (in opposition to what some may say) radioactive Dnipro River! we opened up the time capsule .... oh! Artur, you're a cynical bastard! :))) we read what we wrote to ourselves and each other 9(!) years ago :) in short - i'm never going to have children and Esme's supposed to be a child psychologist. We ended the day (I was veeery tipsy by this time), with some nice bite-size shashliki and veggie potatoe dumplings and headed home to where we are now - drunk , tired and giving you guys entertainment :)

luv from kiev xxx!!

p.s Ania, thank you very much for the necklace! i'm wearing it all the time and I love it. you'll get a chance to confront that after we upload the photos ;)
